Riding from Durness back down to Kyle of Durness.

It was an absolutely superb morning for the final push to Cape Wrath. The views were breathtaking. Even on this fairly small peninsula the scenery changes almost at every turn of a corner. The road is pretty rough - I removed all the heavy non-valuables form the bike and put them into two panniers which were then chained to a lamp-post by the ferry jetty.
Waiting for the ferry were some other wheelers - Andy Chamins on a hand cycle with his partner on a neat little Thorn bike.
They were crossing with camping gear.
It was a very tight squeeze on the ferry, but this was a bigger boat than was running in 1987.

Spot the glacial valley!

Kyle of Durness meets the sea - Scotlands Highlands give way to the ocean..... Yes , the sea was this colour!.

Looking back inland ( South)

First of a series of long drags from the ferry.
