Steepest hill of the entire route 1:4 on B3227

Slipping the border - Tamar valley.
Red Post.

North Cornwall coast.
We continued on the B337 and then A388 to Milton Dammerel before heading off into the lanes past Tamar Lakes, and a few main road detours, crossing the A388 again at Red Post.
At Marhamchurch we stopped in the village store to stock for the Youth Hostel stay. When we hit the A39 we follwed it until the Boscastle turn off, and enjoye da level and downhill run to the village.
The hostel is a great place, much unchanged over the years.
The volunteer wardens were form Newcastle, and enjoying their week of running the place
We had Fish & Chips from a take-away near the road bridge, and walked around the village. We had no idea then of how this place could change in 36 hours!
