We
left Yeo Farm at 10 am and climbed the hill back up to B3227, and then
decsended to join the A361 to Bish Mill and of on the B3227 again into
South Molton. We got our route sheet stamped a Boots chemists, and bought
our lunch in the Spar.
Then it was off on the undulating B road again to Torrington. Generally the road wasn't bad but we had to drop right down into the Taw Valley and back out again, so there was a fair bit of climbing to do. By the time we got to Torrington it was very hot again, and we found shade under some trees in the car park and picnic area, where a huge boat was being constructed from pallets and wooden poles for bonfire night. After luch and a great deal of wasp-swatting we set off on the B road again and encountered the steepest hills of the ride. On one short 1:4 section we ended up up walking a few yards, which was the first time we'd had to do that on the entire ride. |
