Overnight rain had left damp in the air, but it was a pleasant morning for cycling. The route along Strathnaver was superb, very gentle climbing along deserted roads. We saw a large bird fly off from a post, who looked very like a Golden Eagle. Midges abounded so stops were brief. We had ice creams at the camp site by the Loch before starting the ascent to Altnaharrah. |
