It was a fine morning. We headed 1.5 miles back down in the village to buy sandwiches only to find there weren't any so headed off up the climb into a stiff headwind.
The scenery was stunning, we encountered sevearl other riders on E2E, including a trio of randonneurs from Belgium. We chatted to them at the top of the climb, one guy was Louis Berinckx.
