out of Portreath ( steeper than it looks!)

We
awoke to a glorious morning for the last day. Skies cleared and we had
panoramic views of the coastline. We set off up the hill and rode through the village of St.Agnes and descended to Porthtowan. We found the car but coudln't find the rest of the family, so climbed up aagin and continued on to Portreath. |

| After
the climb from Portreath there's a good level run across the clifftops,
and we stopped at Hells Mouth to take in the fantastic scenery, and stopped
at the roadside cafe aswell. We decided Hayle would be the best place to
stop for lunch so descended to Towan and along by the dunes in the town.
We bought Cornish pasties and donuts! For the next section we hit the B road along the river and then turned of right towards St.Ives, and then left up the hill through Lelant, cutting off St.Ives which was probably very busy. |
