Stage 7. Keswick was the re-booked destination. I decided to go
across Wedell Moors direct to Colne.
A quick walk around Hebden Bridge was to cause trouble later as I ran
over broken glasses and bottles left bt the Saturday night revellers.
I climbed out of the village, towards heptonstall and within the first
mile had a flat front tyre, Tube changed, nothing found, I carried on
and found myself self into the teeth of a viscious cold North-Westerly
wind. I'd also failed to spot the succession of 1:4 hills across the moor,
so it took the best part of 2 hours to get to Colne where I arrived with
a bdly hurting back which seemed to have clicked out on one of the climbs.
